Service Manager – Supported Accommodation

About You:

Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for nurturing and leading a team to provide exceptional care for vulnerable children and young people? A seasoned professional with a background in residential childcare management, you possess the drive to foster an environment that promotes independence and wellbeing in line with Ofsted regulations. 

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise, including a minimum of 2 years in a role pertinent to the residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory and managerial capacity. A robust educational foundation is essential, with an NVQ Level 3-5 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent, and a LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or progress towards it. Recent experience as a Registered Manager or a Children's Home Deputy Manager is highly desirable. A valid driver's licence and car ownership are essential to fulfil the requirements of this role.

Info on the Role:

As a Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the provision of supported accommodation, ensuring that the service operates efficiently and in accordance with Ofsted Regulation. You will be instrumental in recruiting and developing a skilled team, managing the homes, and upholding the highest standards of care. Your leadership will be pivotal in achieving and maintaining an Ofsted rating of 'Good' or 'Outstanding', with performance incentives aligned to these outcomes.

This full-time, permanent position offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule from 09.00 to 17.00, allowing for a work-life balance while making a significant impact on the lives of young people.
