The Role:
We are seeking an experienced SEND Resolution and Tribunal Officer to join a local authority SEND team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing appeals to the First-tier Tribunal, ensuring timely responses and compliance with statutory requirements throughout the process. The role will involve facilitating mediations to support the early resolution of disputes where possible, as well as representing the Local Authority at tribunal hearings. You will work closely with parents/carers, young people, legal teams, advocates, and educational settings to ensure effective communication and case progression. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. The ideal candidate will have recent SEND tribunal experience within a local authority setting, alongside strong knowledge of SEND legislation and excellent communication and organisational skills.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable, recent experience in SEND tribunal procedures, particularly in representing local authorities. You should possess extensive knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice in tribunals and resolutions, along with excellent communication and advocacy skills. Personal attributes include being highly organised, detail-oriented, resilient, and able to work independently in a remote setting. A background in social services or a related field with direct tribunal experience is essential.

What’s On Offer:
£380 per day, with remote working and an initial 3 month contract.
