Here at Hamptons we are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and passionate children’s residential care provider in their search for a Responsible Individual to join their senior management team and to be instrumental opening their brand new children’s homes based in Leicestershire.
The Role: Responsible Individual
- To be the Ofsted registered Responsible Individual for the children’s home and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure that the home meet relevant requirements set out in legislation
- To provide effective leadership and management of the home
- To ensure a high standard of consistent care and service in accordance with legislation, government guidance, regulations and standards, and the policies and procedures of the registered provider
- To oversee the management of placements within the home and to liaise with managers in formulating jointly agreed plans to ensure a coordinated approach to services for children and young people
About You:
- Substantial experience of managing care planning practice in children’s homes; identifying, assessing, planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of law and practice relating to looked after children
- Have the business and management skills to supervise the management of the service efficiently and effectively
- Proven multi-site managerial experience across children’s residential services
- Must have previous experience as a Responsible Individual or Area Manager in a children’s residential setting with proven Ofsted outcomes
- Flexibility to be on site on a regular basis
