Responsible Individual – Children’s Residential Services (3–5 Homes)

Hampton’s are working in partnership with an established and forward-thinking children’s residential care provider who are seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to oversee 3–5 homes, all located on the same site in Nuneaton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-quality organisation and play a key strategic role in ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and leadership across a group of services.
The Role: Responsible Individual
Provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight across multiple children’s homes.
Ensure compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted’s Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCIFF).
Act as the link between the provider and Ofsted, maintaining professional and transparent relationships.
Lead and support Registered Managers to deliver safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments.
Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and service improvement across all homes.
Use data and audits to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and maintain inspection readiness.
Promote a culture of reflection, accountability, and professional development.
Build strong relationships with Ofsted, Local Authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies.
Contribute to strategic growth, innovation, and business development opportunities.
About You
Substantial senior leadership experience within children’s residential care, overseeing multiple homes or services.
Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
In-depth understanding of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted SCIFF (2023/24).
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, governance, and compliance frameworks.
Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor Registered Managers and senior teams.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Financially astute with experience managing budgets and resources.
Committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
