Hamptons are working with a Local Authority based in the South East, searching for an experienced SEN Case Officer to support their already robust team.
The Role: SEN Case Officer
– Manage a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
– Coordinate and oversee the statutory Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment process.
– Draft, amend, and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
– Liaise with parents/carers, schools, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate provision is in place.
– Ensure timely reviews of EHCPs (Annual Reviews) and make necessary amendments.
About You:
– The successful candidate will be an experienced SEN Case Officer
– Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
– Experience working within SEND services in education, health, or social care.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to manage a complex and varied caseload.
– High level of organisation and attention to detail.
– Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
– Experience working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners.
What's On Offer: £280 per day and hybrid working, 2x days on site per week
