Hamptons are working with Gloucestershire County Council, in the search for an experienced SEND Specialist.
The Role: SEND Specialist
– Review our Local Offer information through the lens of a Parent Carer, Young Person, Professional – SENCO, Health Practitioner, Social Worker and an Ofsted/CQC Inspector;
– Review the information in terms of relevance and direction of nation policy; with particular attention to Local Inclusion support offer (LISO), Alternative provision specialist task force, ELSEC and Whole School Improvement programme
– Whole School Improvement programme
– Identify recommendations for improvements across all areas of the Local Area Partnership;
– Develop a detailed project plan and timeline for delivering improvements and required governance arrangements for sustaining improvements.
– Use expert knowledge to deliver the project with partners across the local area.
– The project will necessitate working across Education, Health and Care services and in co-production with parent carers and stakeholders.
About You:
– Degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Health, Social Care, or a related field
– Evidence of continuous professional development in SEND and inclusion
– Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) desirable
– Proven track record of leading or contributing to SEND service reviews or Local Offer development
– Experience in co-production with parent carers, young people, and stakeholders
– Demonstrable experience in project planning, governance, and delivery within complex systems
– Experience of working collaboratively across education, health, and social care sectors
– Previous involvement in Whole School Improvement or inclusion strategies
What’s On Offer: £525 per day and remote working, with some office presence for in person meetings
