Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: £25,350 – £31,725 per annum (including sleep-ins)

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established 3-bed children’s home in Nuneaton, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The Role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Leading shifts and supporting the daily care and development of children and young people in the home.
Acting as a positive role model and providing guidance to the Residential Support Worker team.
Supporting the delivery of individual care plans and ensuring that each young person’s unique needs are met.
Promoting the education, well-being, and independence of the children in your care.
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies, care plans, risk assessments, and regulatory standards.
Supporting children to engage in community activities, hobbies, and life skills development.
Maintaining accurate records, including daily logs, incident reports, and safeguarding documentation.
Assisting in the supervision and development of team members, supporting their ongoing training and progression.
Contributing to a safe, caring, and high-quality home environment in line with Ofsted regulations.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience working in children’s residential care, including working with challenging behaviours.
Experience in leading shifts or supervising staff in a care environment (desirable).
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Emotional resilience, flexibility, and the ability to handle challenging situations.
A full UK driving licence (minimum of 2 years driving experience if under age 25).
The ability to work a shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
