Senior Residential Support Worker opportunity in Derbyshire …
We are currently looking for an experienced and compassionate residential childcare professional to join my well-established client’s team as a Senior Support Worker in one of their good OFSTED rated homes, based in Ilkeston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a pivotal part in the day-to-day running of home that supported 2 Young People, with LD needs.
Role Overview:
As part of the leadership team, you will actively promote the rights of young people as individuals and provide them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation. To assist in the management of provision of a safe and homely environment to help young people achieve their potential by strengthening areas of weakness and developing areas of strength. The Senior Support Worker will be expected to achieve positive outcomes for all young people by leading by example, always providing professionalism, and ensuring high levels of commitment, good childcare practice and safeguarding to young people.
About you:
- NVQ Level 3 completed in Children
- Previous successful leadership experience working within childcare.
- Previous experience of working with young people with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and childcare legislations.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – preferable.
- Positive and proactive attitude to work, tact and diplomacy, non-judgmental and non-discriminatory practice.
- Hardworking and able to motivate a team.
