Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Salary: £30,840.00 – £32,880.00 per annum

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Senior Support Worker to join our team in a 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's home. This role offers an opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people by providing them with a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports their emotional and social development.

The Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and supporting both young people and your team. Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children at all times.

Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.

Leading and mentoring the care team, ensuring best practices in residential childcare.

Providing direct support to children, helping them develop resilience and positive coping strategies.

Promoting structure, boundaries, and routines in a safe and nurturing environment.

Assisting with quality assurance and regulatory inspections to maintain compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

Supporting young people to access education, healthcare, and therapeutic services.

Managing shifts effectively, including staff supervision, activity planning, and risk assessments.

Ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed rigorously.

Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) (Required).

At least 1-2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.

Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, safeguarding policies, and relevant childcare legislation.

A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

A trauma-informed approach to supporting young people.

A Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
