Hamptons is seeking an experienced Children’s Senior Residential Support Worker for a three-bed Therapeutic Children’s Home. This role involves caring for young people aged 11 to 17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Your Responsibilities:
– Leadership Support: Assist the Registered Manager in leading the home and supporting both the young people and Residential Support Workers.
– Key-Working: Supervise and undertake lead key-working responsibilities, including managing young people’s risk assessments and care plans.
– Role Modelling: Act as a positive role model for the young people.
– Safeguarding: Take responsibility for the safeguarding of young people.
– Daily Routines: Support young people with their day-to-day routines and education.
– Community Engagement: Encourage young people to participate in community activities and holidays.
– Independence: Foster independence among the young people.
– Record Keeping: Accurately record and update information in care plans.
– Professional Relationships: Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
– Team Meetings: Attend meetings with your team and the young people.
– Training and Development: Participate in training, development, and regular supervision.
What Is Required:
– Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in a residential childcare setting.
– Qualifications: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
– Age: Must be over the age of 21.
– Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (preferable).
– Flexibility: Ability to work on a rota system (mostly 2 days on/4 days off) including sleep-ins and overtime where required.
– Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with young people, team members, and other professionals.
– Background Check: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check, along with satisfactory references.
