We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to support and empower foster carers across Exeter and the surrounding areas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing through strong safeguarding practice and regulatory compliance in accordance with OFSTED.
- Provide regular supervision and support to foster carers, including annual reviews and TSD standards.
- Lead the carer recruitment process, Form F assessments, and contribute to effective matching for children.
- Previous experience in completing assessments such as Form F is highly desirable due to a strong recruitment pipeline.
- Travel of up to 90 minutes per carer may be required, depending on the SSW’s home location.
What we’re looking for:
- Hold a recognised Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, BA/MA Social Work).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Have 2-3 years’ experience in Children & Families services, including safeguarding.
- Able to undertake Form F assessments and present to panel.
- Have a full UK driving license, your own is preferred.
