Hampton’s is collaborating with a highly esteemed Independent Fostering Agency, renowned for its “outstanding” rating, to find an enthusiastic Supervising Social Worker to join their dedicated team in Manchester. This role offers flexibility of hybrid working, with up to two days per week based at the Head Office in Manchester.
The Role:

This position involves providing a comprehensive and flexible social work service to foster carers and young people. 

Key responsibilities include:

– Managing and supervising a caseload of approved foster carers.
– Monitoring and evaluating the continued suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and learning environment for children and young people.
– Ensuring that carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved, and the standards expected.
– Working in partnership to identify any needs within the foster family, such as respite, activities, holidays, and contributing to all relevant meetings and tasks.
– Contributing to foster carer annual reviews within required timescales, providing written evidence of competence, and presenting annual review reports to the panel as required.

About You:

Candidates must hold a Social Work qualification recognised by Social Work England or an equivalent UK body. Additional qualifications and experience include:

– Proficiency in IT and electronic communications, including Microsoft Office.
– Experience working with foster carers and young people (desirable).
– Experience completing Form F Assessments of foster carers (desirable).
– Proven ability to produce high-standard reports.
