Job Title: Support Worker

Salary: £24,000 – £25,000 per annum

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a well-established 4-bed residential home in Chatteris. Our home is graded 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted and provides high-quality care and support to children, ensuring they lead fulfilling and independent lives.

The Role:

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred care and support tailored to the needs of each resident, promoting their independence and well-being.

  • Supporting residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and social activities.

  • Encouraging and facilitating residents to engage in community activities, hobbies, and personal development.

  • Ensuring the safety, dignity, and respect of all residents while maintaining a warm and supportive home environment.

  • Collaborating with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement individual care plans.

  • Keeping accurate records and reports in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

  • Adhering to safeguarding procedures and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working in a care or support role, ideally within a residential setting (though full training will be provided for the right candidate).

  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature.

  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • A willingness to complete relevant training, including NVQs in Health and Social Care.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
