ROLE:
We are seeking a confident and experienced Children’s Residential Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of a residential service for young people with complex needs.
Reporting directly to the management team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior staff, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations. You will work collaboratively to empower your team and contribute to delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support that makes a lasting difference in young lives.

About You:
We are looking for a dedicated, proactive individual who is:
Experienced in working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting
Holding a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – this is essential
Passionate about creating positive outcomes for young people
A natural leader who can coach, support and inspire others
Knowledgeable in safeguarding practices and regulatory standards
Resilient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent
A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals
Committed to continuous improvement and high-quality care
Suitable to work with children (a DBS certificate is a requirement for the role)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on care and support to young people with complex needs
Lead by example in delivering safe, effective, and consistent care
Support the implementation and monitoring of individualised care plans
Maintain accurate documentation, reports and behavioural logs
Act as a role model and mentor for junior staff
Ensure full compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
Contribute to creating a nurturing, structured and therapeutic home environment
Work collaboratively with the management team to uphold the home's values and standards
