We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Team Leader to join our residential childcare team, supporting young people who display emotional and behavioural difficulties. 

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, promoting a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where young people can thrive and work towards independence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise and mentor trainee RSWs.
  • Ensure all staff on shift are aware of updates to risk assessments and care/placement plans for the young people.
  • To act as a residential care worker, providing care and support to individuals.  
  • To assist each young person with the development of their Education through formal education.
  • To work on behalf of the young person to educate and provide positive advice with any aspect of their health care requirements and consult with health care professionals where appropriate.

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People).
  • Experience in residential childcare and/or outdoor activity settings.
  • Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Flexibility to work a rota of 12 hours shifts from 8am-8pm, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties. 
  • Full UK driving license is preferred.
