Job Title: Team Leader
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (Dependent on experience – no sleep-ins required)

We are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join a dedicated team in a 3-bed residential children’s home based in Wisbech. This role focuses on supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), helping them achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager, leading a team of residential support workers, and ensuring high standards of care are maintained throughout the home.

The Role:

As the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the Registered Manager in the daily operation and compliance of the home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements

Providing effective leadership, mentoring, and supervision to staff, promoting a strong, values-led culture

Supporting the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of the children, creating a warm, stable environment

Managing rotas, coordinating shift cover, and ensuring efficient resource use

Working in partnership with external professionals (social workers, schools, healthcare providers) to deliver holistic care plans

Maintaining robust safeguarding practices, managing risk effectively, and addressing concerns promptly

Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to care practice

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential)

At least 2 years of experience as a Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker within a children’s residential care setting

A strong understanding of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, safeguarding frameworks, and quality standards

A genuine passion for working with young people, particularly those with EBD needs

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

A full UK driving licence (minimum 2 years’ driving experience)
