The Role: Interim Team Manager – Children with Disabilities 

The team is a multi-disciplinary team who work with our most vulnerable disabled children with complex needs.  The team has social workers, Occupational Therapist, Community Nurses and family practitioners.  

The team has strong links with SEND, Educational Psychologists, and special schools in the area and are now based within the Family Safeguarding service so, benefit from the support of a well-developed and experienced leadership team. 
 
Systemic practice is our overarching approach.  Its principles encourage us to practice in a way that is appreciative, and strengths-based, with a belief in the family’s capacity to create real and sustainable change. It invites us to be curious about our own and others’ perspectives, helping families to do the same which can create space for new ideas and possibilities for change to emerge.

Duties will include:

•    Supervising SW’s, 
•    Managing children’s cases within CIN / CP and LAC frameworks.
•    Ensuring Duty systems are in place.
•    Performance management.
•    Quality Assurance of practice standards.
•    Chairing meetings.
•    Monitoring Spend within Budget. 
•    Responding to complaints
•    Supporting the Service manager by implementing systems and team building.

About You: 

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic leader who is able to energise others with their vision and drive in working with vulnerable children with complex needs.  
As a Team manager you will have experience of working with complex needs or disabilities and be pivotal to our strong social work family, where practitioners and feel safe to learn from honest mistakes, are supported to develop enduring relationships with children and families and are actively encouraged to share their views about the environment in which they work. 
This is a highly rewarding role with great opportunities to develop as a manager and leader, working with children who have complex needs, delivering strategies through co-production and collaboration.

What's On Offer: A rate of £48 per hour on an initial three month contract
