Waking Night Support Worker opportunity in Derbyshire …
We are currently looking for an experienced and compassionate residential childcare professional to join my well-established client’s team as a Waking Night Support Worker in one of their good OFSTED rated homes, based in Ilkeston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a pivotal part in the day-to-day running of home that supports 2 Young People, with LD needs.
Role Overview:
You will actively promote the rights of Young People as individuals and provide them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation. To assist in the provision of a safe and homely environment both individually and as part of a team to help young people achieve their potential. This includes the ability to work within Equal Opportunities and Quality Assurance framework and may include undertaking delegated responsibilities for designated tasks. The ability to maintain confidentiality of client information is also important.
About you:
- NVQ Level 3 completed in Children or willingness to complete it
- Able / flexible to work nights is essential – hours from 21:45 – 07:45
- Previous experience of working with young people with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and childcare legislations.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – preferable.
- Positive and proactive attitude to work, tact and diplomacy, non-judgmental and non-discriminatory practice.
- Hardworking and able to motivate a team.
