Reflecting on a Year of Impact at Hamptons Resourcing

As social care managers, you will know better than most that strong services are built on strong people. At Hamptons Resourcing, that belief sits at the centre of everything we do – and it was very much the focus of our annual awards celebration that we held at the end of last year.

In December, we stepped away from the day-to-day demands of social care recruitment to come together with our sister company, Step Into Teaching, for a festive celebration and combined awards ceremony. Christmas jumpers, good food and a lively Secret Santa set the tone, but the real purpose of the day was to reconnect as teams and reflect on what truly drives our work: the people behind the service.

As specialists in social care executive recruitment across the UK, we understand that our success – and the success of the organisations we support – depends on dedication, expertise and shared values. Our annual staff awards are designed to recognise the behaviours, professionalism and commitment that shape our culture and allow us to consistently deliver high-quality care management recruitment services.

Our Founders and Chief Executives, Gary McPhee and Simon Ray, presented the awards and formally acknowledged colleagues whose contributions have made a lasting impact over the year. We were proud to recognise:

  • Kathryn McBurney – Positive Impact of the Year (Step Into Teaching)
  • Susan Stent – Positive Impact of the Year (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • Svilena Koleva – Operational Excellence (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • Max Nichols – Above and Beyond (Hamptons Resourcing)

We also celebrated our Managers of the Year, Consultants of the Year, New Starters of the Year, and recipients of the Sales Growth and Development Awards across both businesses. Each of these individuals demonstrates the high standards we hold ourselves to when supporting social care providers, leaders and candidates within an evolving care sector jobs market:

  • Alexandra Gibson (Step Into Teaching)
  • Georgina Phayer (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • Jolie Floyd (Step Into Teaching)
  • Courtney Cox (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • James Harris (Step Into Teaching)
  • Syrra Sandher (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • Alexander Austin (Hamptons Resourcing)
  • Jack Doogue-Johnson (Step Into Teaching)
  • Beckie Stokes (Hamptons Resourcing)

The past year has shown our team’s resilience and professionalism as we continue to strengthen the culture we are building – one that underpins our reputation within social care recruitment in the UK and beyond.

A special mention also goes to our Education Partner, Matthew James, who embraced his role as Santa with enthusiasm, bringing plenty of festive cheer and laughter to the day.

Here’s to an even more successful 2026 – and to continuing to support social care managers with the people and leadership they need to deliver outstanding care.
