Gary’s career path took an unexpected turn when he transitioned into recruitment after a serious injury prematurely ended his professional football career. Reflecting on the career change, Gary recognises that the discipline and mental toughness instilled in him during his time in sports provided the solid foundation for success in the recruitment industry.

After 10 years with Hamptons Gary has taken a sideways step and is now serving as CEO of Step Into Teaching, Hamptons sister company. Gary still remains involved in the day-to-day operations of Hamptons, overseeing the administration and finance teams. He also continues to play a crucial role in supporting Hamptons’ ongoing success at board level, offering strategic and tactical guidance.
