Children's Deputy Home Manager - Newham - Up to £35K

Here at Hampton's Resourcing we are proud to be working in partnership with a family-run and passionate children's residential care provider who are on the lookout for a motivated Deputy Manager to assist in the running of their 'Good' rated 3 bed EBD home based in Forest Gate, Newham. This amazing service is a residential children's home inspired by the life of the Director's father and his experience of being a child in care in the UK. This Children's home was set up in his memory to provide a family environment for three children and young people between the ages of 11-18 to be cared for and supported. Through their high quality accommodation service, they work to improve the life chances of both males and females with social, emotional and behavioural needs. They strive to meet the needs of those who require a period of intensive support, with a high level of personalised care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in relation to the Children's Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
  • Ensure that the standards expected in the delivery of care are upheld and the standing of the Company is maintained
  • Ensure that all administrative requirements of the home are maintained in such a way that they are complaint with good child care practice, home procedures, company policies and children regulations
  • Responsibility for organising staff rotas as advised by the Registered Manager

Skills and Experiences:

  • Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
  • Experience in a Team Leader Deputy Manager role in a children's residential care setting
  • Able to engage appropriately with young people and develop rapport
  • Experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated complex needs

Salary: Up to £35K

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday with occasional shift work
