Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Congleton)

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Here at Hamptons, we are delighted to be working in partnership with a supportive and well-organised children’s residential care provider who are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to oversee an established 2-bed LD children’s home based in Congleton.

The home is fully staffed, rated Good in all areas by Ofsted, and has strong structures already in place. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager looking to take ownership of a settled service without the pressures of turnaround or instability.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a manager who is passionate about supporting young people with learning disabilities and wants to lead a stable, well-run home while continuing to drive positive outcomes.

The Role: Registered Manager

• Take overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the 2-bed children's home
• Ensure the home remains fully compliant with relevant legislation, Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements
• Maintain and build upon the home's existing Good Ofsted rating
• Deliver a high-quality, consistent and child-centred service
• Lead, support and develop the established staff team
• Promote a safe, structured and nurturing environment for the young people
• Drive continuous improvement while maintaining the stability of the service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, Ofsted and other external professionals
• Ensure effective safeguarding, care planning, recording and quality assurance processes are maintained

About You

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
• Experience working with young people with learning disabilities
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete)
• Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted frameworks
• A positive Ofsted inspection history
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for young people
