The Role: Senior Commissioning Manager – Supported Accommodation (Learning Disability and Autism)
The Adults and Health Directorate is progressing a time limited borough wide review of Supported Living and Care provision for people with Learning Disability (with or without Autism and/ or a Severe Mental Illness).
We are looking to appoint a person to work as part of our team who has excellent knowledge of social care and housing markets, a good understanding of the statutory frameworks in which we operate and the drive to commission services which make a positive difference for the local population.
This is a senior level post and requires specialist knowledge and technical experience of commissioning services for people living with a Learning Disability and Autism. A commitment to integrated working at a local and regional level, combined with refined leadership skills and the ability to ensure a joined-up commissioning approach is essential.
About You:
Lead a commissioning review of care and support services on behalf of the Directorate, with a focus on Learning Disability and Autism including accommodation and community-based services.
Present a number of costed housings with care model options with a clearly evidenced recommendation to progress.
Lead the recommissioning process including development of service specifications, financial model, business case and procurement processes for housing with care services for people with a learning disability.
Through the commissioning review lead effective governance and partnership working arrangements, and in particular to promote effective joint working across the health and care sector and with partner organisations.
Essential requirements:
Have extensive proven specialist knowledge of commissioning at scale services for people with a learning disability including accommodation and community-based provision.
What's On Offer: A rate of £500 per day on an initial 6-month contract, with 3 days per week onsite.
